North-East Delhi में Motor Vehicle Theft के खिलाफ AATS/North-East District की बड़ी कार्रवाई।

AATS टीम द्वारा auto-theft में शामिल लोगों के बारे में लगातार intelligence collect, analyse और develop की जा रही थी। इसी intelligence-based action के तहत आरोपी तक पहुंच बनाई गई और चोरी की 12 दोपहिया गाड़ियां बरामद की गईं।

12 STOLEN VEHICLES RECOVERED | 12 MV THEFT CASES WORKED OUT

In a significant achievement against Motor Vehicle Theft, the AATS/North-East District apprehended a notorious auto-lifter and recovered 12 stolen two-wheelers, thereby working out 12 cases of Motor Vehicle Theft registered across multiple police stations.

To curb the menace of Motor Vehicle Theft in North-East District, the AATS team has been continuously collecting, analysing and developing intelligence regarding persons involved in auto-theft cases through various sources.

On 01.09.2026, acting upon a specific tip-off, the team of AATS/North-East District, led by Insp. Deepak Pandey, I/C AATS/North-East District, laid a trap in the area of Bhagirathi Vihar. The team apprehended a person identified as Salman (22 years), S/o Faiz Mohammad, while he was riding motorcycle No. UP17Z-1986.

On being asked to produce the ownership documents of the motorcycle, the accused failed to provide any satisfactory explanation and attempted to mislead the police team. On verification, the motorcycle was found to be stolen in e-FIR No. 20397/26 dated 29.08.2026 u/s 305(b) BNS, PS Bhajanpura. The stolen motorcycle was accordingly seized.

During sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed his involvement in several other Motor Vehicle Theft cases. On the basis of his disclosure and instance, further raids were conducted, resulting in the recovery of 11 additional stolen two-wheelers.

The recovered vehicles were found to be stolen from the areas of PS Dayalpur, PS Bhajanpura, PS Madhu Vihar, PS Farsh Bazar, PS Mansarovar Park, PS Seemapuri, PS Civil Lines and PS Shakarpur, thereby working out 12 MV Theft cases.
Accordingly, appropriate legal action u/s 35.1(e) & 106 BNSS dated 02.09.2026 was initiated at PS Gokalpuri.

Previous Involvement
On detailed verification, the accused was found previously involved in 17 cases pertaining to Theft, Snatching and Arms Act. He is not a BC.
