आरोपियों के कब्जे से चार चोरी की दोपहिया गाड़ियां बरामद हुई हैं।

पुलिस के मुताबिक, इस कार्रवाई से 2 snatching और 6 Motor Vehicle Theft cases solve हुए हैं।

दोनों आरोपी पहले भी कई आपराधिक मामलों में शामिल रहे हैं।

 OPERATION STREET SHIELD: ASB CELL/SHAHDARA ARRESTS TWO SNATCHERS-CUM-AUTO LIFTERS; SOLVES 2 SNATCHING & 6 MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT CASES
 FOUR STOLEN TWO-WHEELERS RECOVERED
 ACCUSED PERSONS FOUND INVOLVED IN MULTIPLE PREVIOUS CRIMINAL CASES
BRIEF FACTS & OPERATION:-
As part of the ongoing “Operation Street Shield”, launched to curb street crime and strengthen preventive policing in Shahdara District, a dedicated team of ASB Cell, Shahdara, was conducting intensive evening patrolling and checking of suspicious persons and vehicles.
During patrolling, the team received specific secret information regarding the movement of two snatchers-cum-auto lifters in the area of Old Seemapuri, Delhi. Acting swiftly on the information, the police team laid a well-planned trap near Indra Market, Old Seemapuri, and successfully apprehended both accused persons along with a TVS Apache motorcycle bearing registration No. DL5SAYXXX.
During the course of investigation, the recovered motorcycle was found to be stolen in connection with e-FIR No. 03448/26 dated 14.02.2026, U/S 305(b) BNS, PS Shahdara, District Shahdara, Delhi.
During sustained interrogation, both accused disclosed their involvement in several snatching and motor vehicle theft cases and revealed that they had parked stolen two-wheelers at different locations.
On their pointing out, the police team recovered three additional stolen two-wheelers, namely DL14SNXXXX, UP14DMXXXX and DL5SASXXXX, linked with cases of PS Krishna Nagar, PS Kalyanpuri and PS Harsh Vihar respectively. Thus, four stolen two-wheelers were recovered. Both accused were arrested and the recovered vehicles were duly seized.

INTERROGATION:-
During sustained interrogation, both accused disclosed their involvement in various incidents of snatching and motor vehicle theft in Delhi. It was further revealed that both accused are drug addicts and allegedly committed snatching and stole two-wheelers to meet their drug-related expenses.
During verification, accused Sabir Ali was also found to be an active Bad Character (BC) of PS Pandav Nagar, Delhi.
ACCUSED PERSONS ARRESTED:-
1. Dilshad R/o Patparganj Village, Delhi Age: 25 years
2. Sabir Ali R/o Jawahar Mohalla, Shashi Garden, Delhi Age: 26 years
RECOVERY:-
1. One stolen TVS Apache motorcycle, Regn. No. DL5SAY7549.
2. One stolen Honda Activa, Regn. No. DL14SN5308.
3. One stolen Honda Activa, Regn. No. UP14DM1527.
4. One stolen Honda Activa, Regn. No. DL5SAS9338.
CASES SOLVED:-
The arrest and recovery resulted in the detection of the following eight cases, including two snatching cases and six motor vehicle theft cases:-
1. FIR No. 300/26 dated 19.08.2026, U/S 304(2)/3(5) BNS, PS Anand Vihar, District Shahdara, Delhi.
2. FIR No. 302/26 dated 23.08.2026, U/S 304(2)/3(5) BNS, PS Anand Vihar, District Shahdara, Delhi.
3. MVT e-FIR No. 018516/26 dated 08.08.2026, U/S 305(b) BNS, PS Anand Vihar, District Shahdara, Delhi.
4. MVT e-FIR No. 020564/26 dated 31.08.2026, U/S 305(b) BNS, PS Anand Vihar, District Shahdara, Delhi.
5. MVT e-FIR No. 03377/26 dated 13.02.2026, U/S 305(b) BNS, PS Krishna Nagar, District Shahdara, Delhi.
6. MVT e-FIR No. 03448/26 dated 14.02.2026, U/S 305(b) BNS, PS Shahdara, District Shahdara, Delhi.
7. MVT e-FIR No. 019598/26 dated 21.08.2026, U/S 305(b) BNS, PS Kalyanpuri, East District, Delhi.
8. MVT e-FIR No. 017383/26 dated 28.07.2026, U/S 305(b) BNS, PS Harsh Vihar, North-East District, Delhi.
PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENTS:-
During verification of their criminal antecedents, accused Dilshad was found previously involved in more than four criminal cases relating to robbery, snatching and offences under the NDPS Act.
Accused Sabir Ali (Bad Character) was found previously involved in more than 25 criminal cases relating to robbery, theft, offences under the Gambling Act, Arms Act and other offences. He is also an active BC of PS Pandav Nagar, Delhi.

RESULT:-
The prompt and effective action of the ASB Cell, Shahdara resulted in the arrest of two habitual offenders, recovery of four stolen two-wheelers and detection of multiple snatching and motor vehicle theft cases, thereby contributing significantly to the prevention and detection of street crime. The ASB Cell, Shahdara remains committed to taking swift and effective action against street criminals and habitual offenders and ensuring a safer environment for the residents of Shahdara District.
