दिल्ली के नंद नगरी इलाके में पुलिस टीम ने एक एक्टिव क्रिमिनल को गिरफ्तार किया है, जो पहले से हत्या के प्रयास, लूट और आर्म्स एक्ट समेत पांच आपराधिक मामलों में शामिल रहा है।
पुलिस के मुताबिक, गश्त के दौरान मिली सूचना पर टीम ने कार्रवाई करते हुए आरोपी को दबोच लिया।
आरोपी के कब्जे से दो अवैध पिस्तौल, तीन जिंदा कारतूस और दो फायर किए हुए कारतूस बरामद किए गए हैं।
पुलिस अब आरोपी से पूछताछ कर हथियारों के स्रोत और उसके अन्य आपराधिक कनेक्शन की जांच कर रही है।

Swift action by the team of PS Nand Nagri leads to the arrest of an active criminal involved in five previous criminal cases, including attempt to murder, robbery and Arms Act violations. Two illegal firearms along with three live cartridges recovered.
On 11.09.2026 at about 06:05 PM, ASI Pramod, HC Ashok and Ct. Deepak, under the supervision of Insp. Anand Yadav, SHO/PS Nand Nagri, were conducting area patrolling near C-1 Block, Nand Nagri, when information was received regarding a person who had been seen loading a pistol near a park in C-Block, Nand Nagri, on 04.09.2026.
Acting promptly on the information, the police team examined the CCTV footage of the area, wherein a person wearing a sky-blue T-shirt and black cap was seen loading a pistol. Another person accompanying him was also visible in the footage.
During the course of investigation, it was learnt that the brother of the person seen in the CCTV footage was running a mobile repairing shop near Tanga Stand, C-1 Block, Nand Nagri. The shopkeeper, identified as Saajan, was shown the CCTV footage and he identified the person loading the pistol as his elder brother, Rohit @ Polly (29 years), S/o Rakesh Rathore, R/o D-Block, Nand Nagri, Delhi. He further disclosed that Rohit was a drug addict and had been admitted by his family to a de-addiction centre on 05.09.26.
The police team thereafter reached the de-addiction centre, where Rohit @ Polly admitted that he was the person seen loading the pistol in the CCTV footage and also disclosed the identity of the other person accompanying him.
On the instance of accused Rohit @ Polly, the police team conducted a search at his residence, resulting in the recovery of two illegal firearms along with three live cartridges.
Accordingly, FIR No. 502/26 dated 11.09.2026, U/S 25/54/59 Arms Act, was registered at PS Nand Nagri and investigation was taken up.
During investigation, accused Rohit @ Polly was found to BC of PS Nand Nagri, previously involved in 05 criminal cases, including cases related to attempt to murder, robbery and violations of the Arms Act.
Further investigation is in progress to ascertain the source of the illegal firearms and the role of the other person seen in the CCTV footage.
