Team of Anti-Burglary Cell, Dwarka District has arrested one active burglar - Munchun @ Banti S/o Dhirender Jha, aged 24 years and recovered 2 laptops, 1 charger, 1 speaker and 3 stolen mobile phones from his possession.
🟡*TEAM & TASKING :-*
As per directions of DCP/Dwarka - Sh. Kushal Pal Singh, IPS, Anti-Burglary Cell, Dwarka keeps sharp eyes on the activities of active burglars and related cases.
As per the directions, a team of experienced police officers under the leadership of Insp. Basant Kumar - I/C Anti-Burglary Cell, Dwarka, Delhi, consisting of SI Vinod No. 947/D, HC Anil No. 1702/DW, HC Krishan No. 687/DW, & Ct. Ashish No. 1854/DW was deployed under the overall supervision of ACP/Operations Dwarka - Sh. Subhash Malik.
🟡*INCIDENT :-*
On 18.06.2026, complainant Sh. Vikas Kumar S/o Papu Lal, R/o Bengali Colony, Mahavir Enclave, Dabri, Delhi reported a day burglary regarding theft of 2 laptops, 1 laptop charger, 1 mobile phone and 1 Bluetooth speaker from his shop.
Accordingly, a case vide e-FIR No. 80050419/2026, U/s 305/331(3) BNS, PS Dabri, Delhi was registered.
🟡*INVESTIGATION :-*
The above-said team reached the spot and started analyzing CCTV footages near the residence of the complainant and saw one person roaming suspiciously near the crime scene on 18.06.2026 at about 3 pm. The team started following the suspect and identified him as Munchun with the help of informers.
The team raided his known address but found it locked as he and his family had already left the address. The team again turned to its information network and raided his latest address nearby but the accused had already left 10 minutes before the raid. The team continued its efforts.
🟡*INFORMATION & ARREST :-*
The consistent efforts of the team paid off when an informer of HC Krishan informed him about the movement of Munchun @ Banti in Mahavir Enclave area with stolen items. The team immediately set up a trap at the said place. The team intercepted Munchun @ Banti on the instance of informer, after which HC Krishan signalled him to stop. Sensing a police trap, he started running but the alert team members foiled his escape. He was identified as Munchun @ Banti S/o Dhirender Jha, aged 24 years.
His search was conducted after which two laptops, one charger, one speaker and three stolen mobile phones from his possession were recovered from his possession and the accused were arrested.

- Munchun @ Banti S/o Dhirender Jha, R/o Mahavir Enclave, Dabri, Delhi, aged 24 years.
🟡*INTERROGATION :-*
He was born in Delhi. His father works as labour and his mother as a maid. He studied till class 7th after which he left his studies. Soon after, he came in contact with bad elements and became a drug addict. To finance his addiction, he started committing crimes.
After attaining the age of maturity, he was again arrested for burglary and since then he has been involved in 09 cases of house thefts, theft and burglary.
