सेंट्रल डिस्ट्रिक्ट पुलिस, थाना पटेल नगर द्वारा ड्रग पेडलर गिरफ्तार; क्षेत्र में गश्त के दौरान 1392 ग्राम गांजा बरामद
थाना पटेल नगर के स्टाफ ने नियमित क्षेत्र गश्त के दौरान एक ड्रग पेडलर को गिरफ्तार किया।
आरोपी के कब्जे से 1392 ग्राम गांजा बरामद किया गया।
पुलिस टीम को देखकर आरोपी भागने का प्रयास करने लगा, लेकिन पुलिसकर्मियों ने तत्परता से पीछा कर उसे दबोच लिया।
आरोपी एक आदतन अपराधी है, जो पूर्व में चोरी, स्नैचिंग तथा आर्म्स एक्ट से संबंधित मामलों सहित कुल 9 आपराधिक मामलों में संलिप्त पाया गया है।
आरोपी को दिनांक 30.09.2025 से एक वर्ष की अवधि के लिए राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र (एनसीटी) दिल्ली से तड़ीपार (Externed) किया गया था।
इस संबंध में थाना पटेल नगर में एफआईआर संख्या 226/26 दिनांक 24.06.2026, धारा 20/61/85 एनडीपीएस अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है।
BRIEF OF THE INCIDENT
In compliance with the directions of the Worthy CP, Delhi, the staff of Central District has been maintaining strict vigil over anti-social elements and drug peddlers through regular area patrolling and surveillance.
On 24.06.2026, while a police team was conducting routine area patrolling, they noticed a suspicious person carrying a black polythene bag. On seeing the police party, he attempted to flee from the spot. The alert police staff immediately chased and apprehended him.
The black polythene bag carried by the accused was checked and found to contain 1392 grams of Ganja. After completing the prescribed legal formalities, the contraband was seized and FIR No. 226/26 dated 24.06.2026 under Sections 20/61/85 of the NDPS Act was registered at PS Patel Nagar.
TEAM AND OPERATION
The operation was carried out by SI Shivam Malik, HC Nikesh, Ct. Ajay and Ct. Jasbir under the supervision of Insp. Naveen Kumar, SHO/PS Patel Nagar, and the overall supervision of Sh. Sunil Kumar, ACP.
Further investigation is in progress to identify the source of procurement and any other persons connected with the illegal trade.

PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENTS
The accused is a habitual offender and has previously been found involved in nine criminal cases, including cases of theft, snatching and offences under the Arms Act. He had also been externed from the National Capital Territory of Delhi for a period of one year with effect from 30.09.2025. Further investigation is in progress.
