BRIEF
A team led by Insp. Manohar Lal, SHO/Vijay Vihar, under the supervision of Sh. Brijmohan Meena, ACP/Rohini, has done a commendable job by arresting two snatchers with the recovery of one stolen scooty and one snatched gold ear-ring.
INCIDENT AND ARREST
In order to prevent and curb the menace of snatching, robbery, and auto theft, extensive patrolling and checking were carried out across Rohini District by setting up strategic pickets in the concerned jurisdictions by the local police.
On 27.06.2026, during routine patrolling near MCD Park, Sec-04, Rohini, Delhi a team of P.S. Vijay Vihar comprising HCs Om Prakash Meena, Pradeep, and Vikas, and Ct. Narendra noticed two suspicious persons riding a scooty. The team intercepted them and identified them as Dishan @ Deepu, aged 18 years, and CCL "K". Upon verification, the scooty found in their possession was found to be stolen from the jurisdiction of P.S. Vijay Vihar. Accordingly, they were apprehended.
During their search, one gold ear-ring was recovered from the possession of accused Dishan. During sustained questioning, he disclosed that the recovered gold ear-ring had been snatched by him from a woman in the area of P.S. Vijay Vihar in connection with FIR No. 243/26 registered at P.S. Vijay Vihar.
Additionally, they disclosed their involvement in the recent snatching and theft cases. With their arrest 05 cases have been worked out.
Further investigation is in progress.
