कनॉट प्लेस थाना पुलिस ने एक सक्रिय वाहन चोर को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। आरोपी के कब्जे से चोरी की एक हीरो स्प्लेंडर मोटरसाइकिल बरामद हुई है।
जांच में खुलासा हुआ कि आरोपी हरियाणा के फरीदाबाद में दर्ज एक अन्य मोटरसाइकिल चोरी के मामले से भी जुड़ा है। ZIPNET के जरिए त्वरित सत्यापन और सतर्क रात्रि गश्त के चलते पुलिस को यह सफलता मिली।

In a significant success against vehicle theft, the vigilant staff of Police Station Connaught Place apprehended an auto-lifter during night patrolling and recovered a stolen motorcycle.
During the intervening night of 30.06.2026/01.07.202, at about 04:00 AM, HC Balram and Ct. Chander Prakash, while conducting night patrolling near LIC Building, Outer Circle, Connaught Place, noticed a person riding a black Hero Splendor motorcycle in suspicious circumstances. The rider was immediately intercepted for verification.
On enquiry, the rider disclosed his identity as Shital Prakash @ Ajay Mahera (32 years), resident of Dabua Colony, NIT, Faridabad, Haryana. He failed to produce any valid ownership documents of the motorcycle.
Enquiry
The motorcycle was verified through ZIPNET, which revealed that it had been stolen in FIR No. 198/2026 dated 20.06.2026 under Section 303 BNS, registered at PS Kotwali, Faridabad, Haryana.
During sustained interrogation, the accused further disclosed his involvement in another motorcycle theft involving one motorcycle which had earlier been recovered by PS Barakhamba Road and deposited vide GD No. 78A dated 17.06.2026. Subsequent verification established that the said motorcycle was linked to FIR No. 172/2026 registered at PS Kotwali, Faridabad, Haryana.

The recovered motorcycle has been seized and deposited in the Malkhana. The accused has been arrested. Information regarding the arrest and recovery has been shared with PS Kotwali, Faridabad, Haryana, for further investigation and necessary legal action.
The prompt action, vigilance, and professional policing displayed by the patrolling staff once again demonstrate the commitment of New Delhi District Police towards combating vehicle theft, apprehending habitual offenders, and ensuring the safety and security of citizens through proactive policing.
