SWIFT RESPONSE, SWIFT RESULTS: CENTRAL DISTRICT POLICE, PS NABI KARIM CRACKED A MOBILE PHONE SNATCHING CASE WITHIN HOURS.

BRIEF OF THE INCIDENT

On 06.07.2026, information regarding a snatching incident was reported at PS Nabi Karim. The complainant, who works as a labourer, reported that at about 7:00 AM he was proceeding towards Qutub Road, Nabi Karim, along with his friend for breakfast. When they reached near the Kabristan, close to the Old Police Post, Nabi Karim, two pedestrians suddenly snatched his mobile phone from his hand and fled.

Accordingly, based on his statement, FIR No. 302/2026 dated 06.07.2026, U/s 304(2)/317(2)/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Nabi Karim and investigation was taken up.


TEAM AND OPERATION

A dedicated police team comprising HC Shamsher, Ct. Rajat and Ct. Nitesh was constituted under the supervision of the SHO, PS Nabi Karim, and the overall supervision of ACP, Paharganj, to investigate the case. The team immediately commenced a meticulous analysis of CCTV footage and simultaneously developed local intelligence to identify and trace the offenders.

Acting swiftly on technical leads and a credible tip-off, the team successfully tracked down and apprehended both accused within hours of the registration of the FIR. During the operation, the snatched Realme C-55 mobile phone was recovered from the possession of accused Mohd. Danish, leading to the successful detection of the case.


ACCUSED ARRESTED

1. Saif Ali, R/o Nabi Karim, Delhi, Age: 25 years.

2. Mohd. Danish R/o Nabi Karim, Delhi, Age: 38 years.


INTERROGATION

During sustained interrogation, both accused admitted their involvement in the offence and disclosed that they had committed the crime to fulfil their personal requirements.


RECOVERY

* One snatched mobile phone, Realme C-55 (Grey Colour), belonging to the complainant.


Previous criminal involvement of the accused persons is being verified. Further investigation is in progress.
