"दिल्ली पुलिस की बड़ी कामयाबी! सीरियल मोबाइल स्नैचर गिरफ्तार, 4 केस सुलझे, 3 चोरी के मोबाइल बरामद!"

सेंट्रल डिस्ट्रिक्ट की पटेल नगर थाना पुलिस ने एक सीरियल मोबाइल स्नैचर को गिरफ्तार कर बड़ी सफलता हासिल की है। आरोपी पिछले कई दिनों से लगातार मोबाइल स्नैचिंग की वारदातों को अंजाम दे रहा था। पुलिस ने CCTV फुटेज और तकनीकी सर्विलांस की मदद से आरोपी को ट्रैक कर दबोच लिया। उसके कब्जे से तीन चोरी और स्नैच किए गए मोबाइल फोन बरामद हुए हैं। आरोपी की गिरफ्तारी से मोबाइल स्नैचिंग और चोरी के कुल चार मामलों का खुलासा हुआ है। मामले में आगे की जांच जारी है

BRIEF OF THE INCIDENT

In view of the recent mobile snatching incidents in the area of PS Patel Nagar, a special team led by Insp. Naveen Kumar, SHO/Patel Nagar, comprising HC Yogesh, HC Deepak, Ct. Bhupinder, Ct. Dalip and Ct. Shubham, under the overall supervision of Sh. Sunil Kumar, ACP/Patel Nagar was constituted to identify and apprehend the offender involved. The team conducted a detailed analysis of CCTV footage installed at and around the places of occurrence as well as along the possible escape routes. Based on CCTV surveillance and technical analysis, the movement of the accused was tracked, leading to his identification.

On 22.07.2026, acting on the developed inputs, the dedicated team of PS Patel Nagar laid a trap near Shadipur Flyover, Baljeet Nagar, Delhi and apprehended the accused person namely Ashish. Three mobile phones connected with different criminal cases were recovered from his possession. With this arrest, four cases of mobile snatching/theft have been successfully worked out.

INTERROGATION

During sustained interrogation, the accused admitted his involvement in the present offence and disclosed that he had recently committed three mobile phone snatching incidents, including two in the area of PS Patel Nagar and one in the area of PS Karol Bagh. He further disclosed that about a month ago, he had also snatched a mobile phone from near Pani Ki Tanki, Rajinder Nagar, which was subsequently linked to E-FIR No. 80058884/2026, PS Rajinder Nagar.

The accused, a resident of Karol Bagh, Delhi, is educated up to Class XII and works at a tent house. To finance his personal interests, he indulged in mobile phone snatching and was roaming in the area in search of buyers for the snatched mobile phones when he was nabbed by the police team.

The recovery effected from his possession has resulted in the successful working out of the following four cases:

1. FIR No. 268/2026 dated 20.07.2026 U/s 304(2) BNS, PS Patel Nagar, Delhi.

2. FIR No. 851/2026 dated 20.07.2026 U/s 304(2) BNS, PS Karol Bagh, Delhi.

3. E-FIR No. 80058884/2026 dated 19.07.2026 U/s 305 BNS, PS Rajinder Nagar, Delhi.

4. FIR No. 218/2026 dated 23.06.2026 U/s 304(2) BNS, PS Patel Nagar, Delhi.


RECOVERY

* One mobile phone connected with FIR No. 268/2026, PS Patel Nagar, Delhi.

* One mobile phone connected with FIR No. 851/2026, PS Karol Bagh, Delhi.

* One mobile phone connected with E-FIR No. 80058884/2026, PS Rajinder Nagar, Delhi.
