द्वारका जिले के सेक्टर-23 थाना पुलिस को बड़ी सफलता मिली है। पुलिस ने एक शातिर स्नैचर और ऑटो लिफ्टर, विपिन, को गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी के कब्जे से एक स्नैच किया गया मोबाइल फोन, एक चोरी का मोबाइल और तीन चोरी की मोटरसाइकिलें बरामद की गई हैं। जांच में सामने आया कि आरोपी पहले से ही आठ आपराधिक मामलों में शामिल रह चुका है। पुलिस अब उससे पूछताछ कर अन्य वारदातों के बारे में भी जानकारी जुटा रही है। इस गिरफ्तारी से इलाके में वाहन चोरी और मोबाइल स्नैचिंग की कई घटनाओं के खुलासे की उम्मीद है। मामले में आगे की जांच जारी है।
🟡 BRIEF DETAILS :-
On 04.07.2026, an e-FIR vide No. 80054460 u/s 304(2)/317(2) BNS was registered at PS Sector-23, Dwarka. The complainant reported that his mobile phone was snatched near Bamnoli, Sector-28, Dwarka, between 06:30 AM and 06:47 AM on 03.07.2026.
🟡 TEAM & TASKING :-
A dedicated police team comprising I/O HC Devi Singh No. 1212/DW, HC Sher Singh No. 1581/DW, HC Vicky No. 1026/DW, HC Krishan No. 1042/DW, Ct. Rajesh No. 1782/DW, and Ct. Sachin No. 1976/DW was constituted under the supervision of SHO Insp. Bijender Kumar Chillar & overall supervision of ACP Sh. Kishore Kumar, under the leadership of Sh. Kushal Pal Singh, IPS - DCP/Dwarka District.
During investigation, police team did extensive CCTV analysis, technical surveillance, and local intelligence gathering. Approximately 50–60 CCTV cameras were scanned along the route from Bamnoli, Sector-28, Dwarka (the place of occurrence) to Jasaur Kheri, District Jhajjar, Haryana, where the accused was identified.
During local enquiry at Jasaur Kheri, residents informed police team that although the accused occasionally visited the village, he was not residing there permanently and was presently staying in Kapashera, Delhi.
Acting upon this information, the police team intensified surveillance and developed further intelligence, which ultimately led to the successful identification.
A secret informer provided credible information that the accused would be coming to sell the snatched mobile phone.
Acting promptly, the police team laid a trap at Dabri–Gurugram Road, opposite Omaxe Complex, Sector-23, Dwarka, and successfully apprehended the accused - Vipin @ Kale, S/o Late Ravinder.
Upon his apprehension, 02 mobile phones were recovered from his possession, including the mobile phone involved in the present case and another mobile phone found to be stolen in e-FIR No. 80121814/25, u/s 303(2) BNS, PS Dwarka North.
Further, the stolen Hero Splendor Plus motorcycle used in commission of the present mobile snatching, was also recovered from his possession. Verification revealed that the said motorcycle had been stolen in e-FIR No. 15185/26, u/s 305(2) BNS, PS Vasant Kunj South.
During investigation, the accused also got recovered 2 more stolen motorcycles, which were found parked in the Metro Parking, Sector-25. Both motorcycles were recovered pursuant to his disclosure statement and pointing out memo.
🟡 INTERROGATION :-
After his arrest, the accused Vipin @ Kale @ Bandar, S/o Late Ravinder, aged about 23 years, was thoroughly interrogated while in police custody. During interrogation, he disclosed, that he is presently residing with his mother in Balmiki Mohalla, Village Kapashera, Delhi. He further disclosed that he has one married sister and that his father expired in the year 2012.
The accused stated that he studied up to the 9th standard at Samalkha, Kapashera, Delhi. After losing interest in studies, he discontinued his education. Thereafter, he came into the company of his friends Rohan and Rahul, started roaming with them, and gradually became addicted to intoxicating substances.
He further disclosed that, in order to meet the expenses of his drug addiction, he started committing offences of theft and snatching. He admitted that several criminal cases relating to theft and snatching have already been registered against him. He further disclosed that during the last 2–3 months, he had committed several such offences.
