दिल्ली पुलिस का बड़ा एक्शन: अंतरराज्यीय साइकोट्रॉपिक ड्रग सिंडिकेट का भंडाफोड़, 19.70 लाख से अधिक ट्रामाडोल और अल्प्राज़ोलम टैबलेट्स-कैप्सूल बरामद, 5 आरोपी गिरफ्तार।"

दिल्ली के उत्तर-पूर्व जिला पुलिस ने अंतरराज्यीय साइकोट्रॉपिक ड्रग सप्लाई सिंडिकेट का भंडाफोड़ करते हुए बड़ी सफलता हासिल की है। पुलिस ने करीब 19 लाख 70 हजार ट्रामाडोल और अल्प्राज़ोलम टैबलेट्स और कैप्सूल, जिनका कुल वजन लगभग 470.686 किलोग्राम है, बरामद किए हैं। कार्रवाई के दौरान एक टाटा सफारी एसयूवी भी जब्त की गई। इस मामले में अब तक पांच आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया जा चुका है। पुलिस का कहना है कि यह कार्रवाई पहले दर्ज एफआईआर में हुई गिरफ्तारी के बाद आगे की जांच के दौरान की गई, जिसमें अवैध रूप से साइकोट्रॉपिक दवाओं की खरीद, भंडारण और सप्लाई करने वाले अंतरराज्यीय नेटवर्क का खुलासा हुआ। फिलहाल मामले में आगे की जांच जारी है

INVESTIGATION & DEVELOPMENTS

During the course of investigation, sustained interrogation of the arrested accused Shivam Gupta and Virpal Gupta led to the identification of their associate Nadeem (30 years), S/o Md. Naeem, R/o Rajiv Nagar, Mandoli, Delhi, who was operating from Bhagirath Palace, Chandni Chowk, Delhi. Tramadol 24 capsule (5 gms), Tramadol tablets 16 (10 gms) and Alparzolam 30 tablet (3gms) were recovered from his possession. He was subsequently arrested.

During interrogation, accused Nadeem disclosed the identity of his supplier. Acting swiftly on this information, a dedicated police team, assisted by technical surveillance and local intelligence, conducted a raid in District Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and on 03.07.2026 arrested the alleged supplier, Navneet (35 years), S/o Upendra Singh, R/o Village Nai Kot, Post Rampur Katharwa, Tehsil Lalganj, PS Mehnajpur, District Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

During his police custody remand, accused Navneet revealed that psychotropic medicines were being stored in a locked godown at Ambedkar City, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Acting on his disclosure, the police team conducted a search at the premises and recovered 29 cartons containing a large quantity of medicines, along with 270 Tramadol capsules (approx. 86 grams). The tenants of the godown were found absconding and their mobile phones were switched off.

Further investigation revealed the involvement of another accused, Ashish, who was allegedly procuring Tramadol and Alprazolam from the said godown. He was apprehended at the instance of accused Navneet. Preliminary technical analysis established digital connectivity between the two accused.

During further police custody remand, accused Navneet disclosed that he had procured psychotropic medicines from Ashish Sinha. Based on his disclosure, technical evidence and digital analysis, accused Ashish Sinha (46 years) R/o Ganesh tower, Krishna Garden, Gaziabad was traced and arrested. A Maruti Baleno car,was also recovered from his possession.

FURTHER BREAKTHROUGH
Continuing the investigation, on 23.07.2026, the investigating team successfully arrested the main wanted accused Shiv Narayan Jha (45 years), S/o Sh. Tripet Narayan, R/o G-8/1701, Nirala Green shayar, Greater Noida extension Sec2 UP, from Ambedkar City, Gautam Budh Nagar, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

During interrogation, Shiv Narayan Jha disclosed the involvement of his associate Aman Sharma (34 years), S/o Sudhir Sharma, R/o Vihan Villa, Phase-I, Sector-10, Greater Noida West, Uttar Pradesh, who was subsequently arrested.
Verification further revealed that Shiv Narayan Jha is also a Proclaimed Offender (PO) in Case No. VIII/41/DZU/2025 registered by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

HUGE RECOVERY OF PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES

At the instance of accused Shiv Narayan Jha, a search was conducted at a house located in Ambedkar City, Parthala Gol Chakkar, Sector-122, Gautam Budh Nagar, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, leading to one of the biggest recoveries of psychotropic substances made by North-East District Police.

Details of contraband recovered on 23.07.26:
• Alpha 0.25 Tablets (Alprazolam): 11,66,400 tablets (Approx. 151.632 Kg)
• Alpha 0.5 Tablets (Alprazolam): 18,600 tablets (Approx. 1.860 Kg)
• Thromacet Tablets (Tramadol): 1,31,400 tablets (Approx. 55.188 Kg)
• Tramadol Red Capsules: 80,640 capsules (Approx. 49.996 Kg)
• Tramadol Green Capsules: 5,73,000 capsules (Approx. 212.010 Kg).
• A Tata safari SUV

Total: 19,70,040 tablets/capsules (470.686 Kgs.).

The recovered psychotropic substances have been seized in accordance with the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

In addition, 340 Nos tablets/capsules (tramadol) and 16 tablets Alprazolam were recovered from Nadeem and Navneet during their arrest.

1. Nadeem (30 years), S/o Md. Naeem, R/o Rajiv Nagar, Mandoli, Delhi.
2. Navneet (35 years), S/o Upendra Singh, R/o Nai Kot, Azamgarh, UP.
3. Ashish Sinha (46 years) R/o Ganesh tower, Krishna Garden, Ghaziabad.
4. Shiv Narayan Jha (45 years), S/o Sh. Tripet Narayan, R/o Nirala Green Shayar, Gr. Noida Extn.
5. Aman Sharma (34 years), S/o Sudhir Sharma, R/o Vihan Villa, Sector-10, Gr. Noida West.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE OPERATION
The investigation has exposed a well-organized interstate syndicate engaged in the illegal procurement, storage and distribution of psychotropic medicines across multiple states. The arrests and successive recoveries have effectively dismantled a major supply chain involved in the illicit trafficking of controlled pharmaceutical drugs.
Further investigation is underway to identify and apprehend other members of the syndicate, trace the financial trail, ascertain the source of procurement and uncover the wider distribution network.


North-East District Police remains committed to taking stringent action against organized drug trafficking networks and ensuring strict enforcement of the NDPS Act.
