दिल्ली के द्वारका जिले में नशे और अवैध शराब के खिलाफ अब शुरू हो चुकी है निर्णायक लड़ाई। DCP द्वारका, आईपीएस कुशल पाल सिंह के नेतृत्व में 'नशे पर लगाम, देश को सलाम' अभियान के तहत जिला पुलिस की सभी टीमों को सख्त कार्रवाई के निर्देश दिए गए हैं। इस मिशन का उद्देश्य सिर्फ नशे के कारोबार पर रोक लगाना ही नहीं, बल्कि दिल्ली और आसपास के क्षेत्रों को नशा मुक्त बनाकर युवाओं को सही दिशा देना भी है। द्वारका पुलिस का संदेश साफ है—नशे को कहें ना, सुरक्षित और जागरूक समाज के निर्माण में दें अपना साथ।
🟡*BRIEF DETAILS :-*
The dedicated staff of AATS, Dwarka District has achieved another significant success against illicit liquor smuggling by apprehending a Proclaimed Offender (P.O.) involved in an Excise Act case and recovering a substantial consignment of Haryana-marked illicit country liquor being transported illegally in Delhi.
Acting on specific secret information, the team intercepted a Hyundai i20 car near Metro Line Yard, on Dwarka-Kakrola Metro stretch towards Kakrola Village, Sector-16A, Dwarka, Delhi. The vehicle, along with the illicit liquor, was seized.
🟡*TEAM & TASKING :-*
As per directions of DCP Dwarka District, the staff of AATS Dwarka was assigned to gather actionable intelligence and take effective action against persons involved in the transportation and supply of illicit liquor. The operation was carried out as part of the district's sustained drive against excise-related offences.
A dedicated team led by Insp. Manish Yadav, I/C AATS Dwarka, comprising SI Dhananjay, HC Inder No. 972/DW, HC Pradeep No. 2088/DW, HC Sonu No. 1684/DW and HC Sandeep No. 1848/DW, was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Subhash Malik, ACP/Operations, Dwarka District, to work on the information and apprehend the offender.
🟡*INFORMATION, RECOVERY & ARREST :-*
On 23.07.2026, acting upon specific secret information, the team laid a trap near Metro Line Yard on Dwarka-Kakrola Metro route towards Kakrola Village, Sector-16A, Dwarka.
During the operation, one Hyundai i20 car was intercepted and checked. The driver was apprehended on the spot and identified as Naresh Kumar @ Rohit, S/o Randhawa Singh @ Moti Lal.
On searching the vehicle, police recovered 60 cases containing 3,000 quarters (approximately 540 litres) of illicit country liquor.
During sustained interrogation and verification of records, it further transpired that the accused had been declared a Proclaimed Offender (P.O.) by the Hon'ble Court on 07.04.2025 in Case FIR No. 112/23, P.S. Chhawla, under Excise Act.
The entire consignment, along with the Hyundai i20 car used for transportation, was seized. In this regard, FIR No. 244/26, Dt. 23.07.2026 under Sections 33/38/58(d) of the Delhi Excise Act has been registered at PS Dwarka North.
The accused was arrested and further investigation is in progress.

- Naresh Kumar @ Rohit S/o Randhawa Singh @ Moti Lal, R/o Surakhpur Village, Delhi, Aged 28 years.
- Declared Proclaimed Offender (P.O.) by the Hon'ble Court on 07.04.2025 in FIR No. 112/23, P.S. Chhawla, under Excise Act.

* 60 cases containing 3,000 quarters. (approximately 540 litres) of illicit country liquor.
* Hyundai i20 car used for transportation of the illicit liquor.
Further investigation is underway to identify and apprehend other persons involved in the illegal supply and distribution of illicit liquor.
