On 28.08.2026, at about 11:00 PM, the complainant, resident of District Surat, Gujarat, who had come to Delhi along with his friends for business purposes, was searching for a hotel near Pul Paharganj.
While near Pul Pul Paharganj, an unknown boy distracted the complainant and his friends and stole his iPhone-13 from his pocket.
On the basis of the complainantтАЩs statement and the facts and circumstances of the incident, a case vide FIR No. 397/2026 dated 29.08.2026, U/s 303(2) BNS was registered at PS Nabi Karim and investigation was taken up.
TEAM & OPERATION
A dedicated team comprising HC Sitaram, Ct. Nitesh and Ct. Rahul was constituted under the supervision of SHO Nabi Karim and overall supervision of ACP Paharganj to trace and nab the offenders.
Immediately after receipt of information regarding the incident, the team started analysing CCTV footage from the area around Pul Paharganj and simultaneously developed local intelligence.
During examination of CCTV footage, the version of the complainant was corroborated. One boy was seen interacting with the complainant and subsequently taking the mobile phone from his pocket. Through sustained CCTV analysis and local intelligence, the team succeeded in tracing and apprehending the accused.

AZEEM @ BHOLA
R/o Nabi Karim, Delhi
Age: 30 years
He was also a PROCLAIMED OFFENDER in FIR No. 78/2019 under Section 392 IPC, PS Nand Nagri. He was declared PO on 10.11.2025 by the Court of Ms. Deepakshi Rana, ASJ, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi.
INTERROGATION & FURTHER INVESTIGATION
During interrogation, accused Azeem @ Bhola disclosed that his urge to earn easy money and fulfil his personal interests had lured him into committing offences.
Further investigation and his disclosure also led to the working out of other cases, including a robbery case of PS Nabi Karim and a case of PS Nand Nagri in which he was a proclaimed offender.

* Stolen Apple iPhone-13 belonging to the complainant.

The prompt and professional action by the beat staff of PS Nabi Karim resulted in the arrest of a habitual criminal and recovery of the stolen mobile phone of the tourist. Further investigation is in progress.
