PS PREET VIHAR BUSTS NARCOTICS SUPPLY CHAIN; THREE ACCUSED ARRESTED, MDMA, GANJA, CASH AND TWO SCOOTERS RECOVERED Staff of PS Preet Vihar busted a narcotics supply chain operating in East District. Three accused persons arrested, including one Nigerian national and one Kenyan national. Recovery of approximately 11 grams of MDMA and 61 grams of ganja. Cash amounting to ₹1,37,600/-, suspected to be proceeds of drug trafficking, recovered. Two Honda Activa scooters recovered during investigation. Action taken under the Zero Tolerance Policy against drug trafficking.

BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE:- A PCR call was received at PS Nihal Vihar regarding a snatching incident near Sukkar Bazaar, Chander Vihar, Nilothi, Nihal Vihar in which caller reported that he had gone to collect money from a contractor and immediately after the contractor handed over the cash, two unidentified miscreants arrived on a motorcycle, snatched ₹2,000 from his hands and fled from the spot.

BRIEF FACTS:- Upon receiving credible intelligence, a raiding team was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Ashish Kumar, I/C Special Staff, under the overall supervision of Sh. Mohinder Singh, ACP/Ops. The team conducted a raid at the identified premises. During the raid, two persons were found actively facilitating online betting on the ongoing cricket match. One accused was maintaining betting transactions and accounts on a laptop using a betting calculator application, while the other was live-streaming the match through a mobile application and accepting bets from punters via mobile phones. The accused were identified as: 1. Akshay R/o GTB Enclave, Delhi, aged about 48 years. 2. Sunil Dutt R/o GTB Enclave, Delhi, aged about 32 years. During interrogation, accused Akshay disclosed that he was maintaining betting records and calculations through the laptop, while accused Sunil Dutt admitted to using the "Cricket Guru" application for live streaming and facilitating betting activities. All electronic devices used in the gambling operation were seized as evidence. Consequently, FIR No. 405/26 dated 19.06.2026 under Sections 3/4/5 of the Delhi Public Gambling Act, 1955 has been registered at PS Seemapuri.

INCIDENT, INFORMATION & TEAM On 16.06.2026, a specific information was received at STF/West District regarding illegal gambling and satta activities being conducted openly near Cement Siding, Punjabi Bagh. The informer further disclosed that several criminal elements frequently assembled at the location and indulged in gambling and satta operations. Acting upon the information, a raiding team comprising SI Sudeep Punia, SI Yashaswi Khatri, ASI Ashok Kumar, HC Basant Kumar, HC Ajay Kumar and Ct. Prince Kumar led by Insp. Harbir Singh, Incharge STF/West was constituted. The team immediately reached the spot and conducted a raid at the identified location. During the operation, ten persons were apprehended while indulging in gambling and satta activities through playing cards and satta slips.

On 08.06.2026, a complaint was received at PS Paschim Vihar West wherein the complainant stated that while she was standing on the road leading towards Nangloi near Gate No. 1, Peeragarhi Metro Station, and was talking on her mobile phone, two unknown boys approached her. One of the boys came close to her while the other stood nearby. Suddenly, one of them snatched the gold chain and both accused persons fled from the spot.
